One more nerd post, and then a bunch of bullets about other things.

I want to buy one of these dual dual-core G5 towers that just came out. There has never been such a gap between the high end of the portable line and the high end of the desktop line. (Forget the new PowerBooks unless you really need one right this second.) The tower is just bananas. Hook two 30″ ACDs up to it and plug in 8 gigs of ram. This is going to cost you, uh, ten grand. It’s worth it.
