Wow is that picture big

• I just had a brief but fruitful (well, for me) email exchange with Aubrey de Grey, the longevity researcher. I may later write a long piece about his field; check out his main page. He came to biology from a computer science background, interestingly.
• Google Base. If this is what everyone thinks it is, and it is, it’s a huge deal. Man, I wish I could be at Google Zeitgeist, which starts today.
• Belle & Sebastian Comic Due in 2006

The British band Belle and Sebastian’s leader, Stuart Murdoch, is a longtime comics fan, and plenty of cartoonists return his affection. Early next year, as the band releases its next album, Image will publish Put the Book Back On the Shelf: A Belle and Sebastian Anthology, a collection of short comics stories, in color and black-and white, adapted from the band’s older lyrics.

• A space station in an online game (Project Entropia) was just sold for £56,200.
