If the new MacBooks are coming on Tuesday (which, I don’t know, feels right to me), I suspect their specs will break down like the Intel Mac minis - a Core Solo on one side, a Core Duo on the other, maybe $1099 / $1499. Or maybe three models: $1099 / $1299 / $1499. They’ll both have the same screen. I don’t think they’ll come in black unless Steve also announces that iMacs will also be available in black.

I know, nobody cares. I don’t even care, but I do need a laptop upgrade already and 15″ is just too big. Hey, if I’m wrong, there’s always E3 to talk about.

UPDATE: could not have been more wrong about the date. I’m sticking to my ninja stars on the specs and pricing, though.

UPDATE UPDATE: Dead on with the pricing, wrong about the processors and colors. The jump from $1299 to $1499 is the stupidist upgrade ever - 20 gigs of space and a color? Sheesh.
