So Kenna has a new album coming out on October 16th…produced by Chad Hugo of the Neptunes, of course. Must get. Andrea gave me New Sacred Cow when it came out and it’s forever one of the records I associate with being new in Los Angeles, along with the French Kicks One Time Bells and Alan Parsons Project Eye In The Sky. Malcolm Gladwell has a pretty interesting chapter on him in Blink; you can (frustratingly) read the first three pages of it at Amazon; also, he and Gladwell dropped in on an econ class at UPenn for mtvU’s Stand In. Not only that, Chad and Kenna are working with Ashlee Simpson and I have it on good authority that the results are stunning…

it’s been awhile since i read blink but i remember being really frustrated by that chapter. i felt it was weak and out of synch with the rest of the book. so some execs thought kena was great but he still can’t sell millions…i was so turned off that i never checked him out
