Mooncade 1.0

When I was a little kid I had a few of those Coleco tabletop video games and dreamed of having one that could play all the arcade games in the world. I was a greedy, narrow-minded child, and have in some respects turned into a nostalgia-obsessed, narrow-minded quasi-adult, because I actually just built such a thing, sort of. The Mooncade is the kludgiest piece of hardware ever: I hacked a Gameboy SP into an old, broken Coleco Pac-Man case I gutted after figuring out that a Nano-ITX board wouldn’t fit. The construction is horrible, just awful - it’s held together with tape, glue, and bubble wrap; nothing’s a good fit, and so on. Still: just like the mother of an ugly kid, I love it. Baby pictures:

If I ever make 2.0, it will be a proper MAME machine running on a Nano-ITX board seated in a custom wood case.
